Hey carpoolers! There’s a new perk for those traveling on Interstate 5 with the official opening of San Joaquin County’s first HOV Lanes on Interstate 5.
Stretching both north and southbound through Stockton, these lanes are open during peak morning and afternoon commute times to provide vehicles with two or more occupants a quicker lane to travel in. Carpools, vanpools, and transit are all eligible to take advantage of the HOV lanes from 5-9 a.m. and 3-7 p.m.
